If you’re overweight, you won’t get anywhere. If you continue the same habits, including what you eat, how much of it you eat, physical activity, sleep patterns etc, any fat the hCG helps your body break doen to use as fuel is just going to get replaced.

Yes you can eat 1200 calories while on the hcg diet, but you’re weight loss will reflect that. And that’s ok! Do what you’re comfortable with ad you’ll be happier! Some can do the 500 calories and lose 1 pound a day and some or ok doing 750-1200 calories and losing about ½ a pound a day.

Choose how many pounds you’d be happy losing over a 40 day round of injections and go from there.

There are  phases to the hcg diet:

  • Phase One is the first 2 days of the diet and called the loading phase. During these 2 days, you’ll inject hCG and eat as much as you want or can! Eat your favorites! The idea is to the extra food will help carry you through days 3-5 when you’re only eating 500 calories per day. You need time for the hCG levels in your body to rise and start working on that adipose fat. Usually that occurs around day 5-7.
  • Phase Two starts on day 3 and continues for the number of days you wish to diet…20, 30 or 40 or anything in between, depending on your weight loss goal. It’s the perfect time to eat clean and healthy and try to establish those good habits!
  • Phase three is also called the maintenance phase and lasts 21 days. It starts the day after your last injection. It’s suggested to continue on 500 calories per day for the first 3 days after your last injection. Then introduce more calories each day, but also watch what you’re eating! If you go back to the junk that put the weight on you to start with…well it won’t be long before you’ve gained it all back!

The most common injection for weight loss is hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) and it also happens to be the cheapest with the fastest results! Cost is around $300 to lose 20-40 pounds.

There is also the brand names Ozempic or Wegovy  (generic name for both is semglutide) or brand names  Saxenda or Victoza (generic name for these is liraglutide.) Cost here can be as high as $6-12,000 a year to lose 50 pounds!

Here’s an example of what your daily menu would look like:

  • Morning breakfast: Coffee. Black preferable but you can add 1 T of low fat milk and Stevia sweetener
  • Snack time: One medium sized apple.
  • Lunch Time: choose 3.5 ounces of grilled chicken breast or tuna or steak. Choose one of lettuce or coleslaw or a medium cucumber, sliced. You can add a small breadstick if you wish!
  • Dinner time: Same as lunch, mix it up
  • Evening snack: Sliced strawberries or an orange
